Tangram Puzzles literally translates to the seven board of skills. It is comprised of 7 flat shapes that are called “tans” which are assembled to become a square or other shapes. It is one of the most famous dissection puzzles and has been popular for generations. It is reported to have been crafted in Song Dynasty in China, before being carried into Europe on the trade ships of the 19th century. We have an interesting Tangram story here:
