Aesthetic enough to display and fun to play especially if you want to disconnect from social media. Some colors like red and orange are a bit hard to differentiate in certain lighting. I use new puzzles for websites and turn the numbers into colors and apply that to the board and play. One of my favorite purchases.
Very cute product and a fun little gift but I’m not sure it’s completely worth the price. It only has 4 set up ideas. Also the orange and red colored wooden pieces are too close in color it’s hard to tell them apart in some lighting.
My daughter gifted us a large ColorKu sudoku game that we loved so much, once we tried it! We’d never done color before. It was so fun, we got hooked, esp playing w grandkids and family members. Then I knew I wanted a small one for travel and found this gem! Perfect size and nicely made! However there were just 4 games, so I made it work w my other larger game by redoing the little wooden pieces to color coordinate w all their game cards! I went to Michels and bought one pack of colored clay packs to shape and bake and had fun rolling out logs and cutting same size as pegs and baked for 12 min! Then I spray painted the little box white enamel and I love my new small travel set that now works w the ColorKu game cards! They sell extra game card sets and I highly recommend! Everyone loves it, especially me!
Not what I needed
I love playing this game, and when I lost some pegs I bought a new set.It needs to be played in good light, and would probably impossible for someone with low vision or color blind, because some of the colors are too similar and/or too dark. Paint or plastic clay substitutes are possible if you have the time.Finding new games is easy, with cheap sudoku books in supermarkets, and free pdf sudoku books online.It took me perhaps 3 games to memorize the colors that I assigned each number, and after that, it's so easy.Speaking of "easy" play the easy games first, but medium work well for me if I can check the solution occasionally as I go along.Enjoy!

Colors are hard to distinguish sometimes but is great other then that.
I really like this mini color sudoku.i thought it was going to be very hard playing with colors instead of numbers but its fun! The box itself feels durable. Just wish some of the colors were a lot more opaque and bright, like the yellows, the ones i got were a little dull. I also wish it came with more challenges but I could probably just look up online for them. Other than that its light, compact and very easy to take with you pretty much anywhere! Really enjoying this little thing
I bought this for a friend who is obsessed with sudoku. She was excited to start with it, but the similar colors make it a bit tough. We will repaint the offending pieces to make it clearer.
I thought this would be a fun way for my brilliant grandson to do Sudoku, but, in fact, it's a little more complicated because you need to set up the board and the best way to set up the board is to use a Sudoku book, determine which color is which number, and put the pieces in place. A few set ups come with the set, but then you really need to expand to other arrangements ... hence the Sudoku book. The board itself is beautiful and the pegs are very nice.
The colors are not different enough to distinguish from each other. And the set only came with four set-ups...Fabulous idea --- But I don't think we will play with this much
I numbered the pegs so my friend whom I am gifting this to can use any Sudoku puzzle and play. I pitched the four puzzles that came with the product. I would like my friend to work any Sudoku puzzle anywhere, any time.
Beautifully made, but it didn’t come with game cards for setting up games. I also love that it has a lid, something other games don’t often offer
The is visually beautiful, and I will keep it for and art piece, but the printed diagrams for starting and completing colors, and the color guide, do not match the actual paint 9n the wooden pieces on a number of the colors-- too many to sort it out and make it fun. There needs to be stamped identifiers on the pegs and the same stamps on the paper picture. The guide may not need color diagrams at all. Maybe printed cards, not the instructions, are better.
